J Way was laid out in the Calhoun Park plan of lots in 1917, running from I Way to Woodrow Avenue (today Leaside Drive).[1] It was the ninth in a series of consecutively lettered alleys in that plan, starting with B Way (later Oakleaf Way) and ending with L Way.
J Way no longer exists.
