I Way

From Pittsburgh Streets
I Way
Neighborhood Lincoln Place
Origin of name Sequential lettering of alleys in the Calhoun Park plan

I Way was laid out in the Calhoun Park plan of lots in 1917.[1] It was the eighth in a series of consecutively lettered alleys in that plan, starting with B Way (later Oakleaf Way) and ending with L Way.

The map from the Department of City Planning shows that I Way still exists, as an unmarked alley parallel to and east of Delford Street.[2]
