Woods Run Road is the road in Riverview Park that leads from Mairdale Avenue to Riverview Drive, which is the road that makes a circuit around the park. It was given this name by a city ordinance in 1936.[1] The name comes from Woods Run, which is named for John Woods, a farmer from Virginia of Irish descent who settled along this stream in 1794.[2][3][4] See Woods Run Avenue for more about Woods Run.
