Siam Way

From Pittsburgh Streets
Siam Way
Neighborhood Mount Washington
Spring Alley (until 1881)
Siam Alley (1881–1914)

This alley was laid out as Spring Alley in 1872 in a plan of lots by A. C. Patterson.[1]

In 1881, a Pittsburgh city ordinance renamed many streets to fix duplicates. There was another Spring Alley in the Strip District (today Spring Way), so this alley in Mount Washington was changed to Siam Alley.[2] It became Siam Way in 1914, when another ordinance changed all alleys in Pittsburgh to ways.[3]
