This alley was laid out as Peach Alley in 1903 in the Rodenbaugh Place plan of lots.[1] After the northeastern tip of Summer Hill, including this alley, was annexed by Pittsburgh in 1929,[2] this name conflicted with Peach Way in the Hill District, so later that year it was renamed Peachtree Way.[3]
