Notes:Snowden Street

From Pittsburgh Streets
To do
  • In Homewood North, connecting Calway Street to Brushton Avenue. But the street sign at Brushton says Calway St.
  • Source:Ordinance-1907-173: "An ordinance approving and accepting the dedication of Snowden street (southerly one-half) from Brushton avenue to Calhoun street."
  • Source:Regan, p. 61: "The first four mayors of the city are honored likewise: Ebenezer Denny (1816–1817), John Darragh (1817–1825), John Snowden (1825–1828) and Magnus Murray (1828–1830) all have streets named for them." But according to the index, this refers to Snowden Drive, which is in Ross Township, not Pittsburgh. Seems unlikely.
