Origin of name Erroll Garner

Garner Court is probably named for Erroll Garner (1921–1977), a jazz pianist from Pittsburgh. The street name was officially established by a Pittsburgh city ordinance in 2015.[1]

Nearby Blakey Court, Eckstein Place, Strayhorn Way, and Turrentine Place are also named for jazz musicians from Pittsburgh.
