Abbott Street

From Pittsburgh Streets
Abbott Street
Neighborhood Point Breeze
Henry Street (until 1881)

This street was laid out as Henry Street in 1860 as part of George E. Peebles' Park Place Plan.[1] After the East End was annexed by Pittsburgh in 1868,[2] this name conflicted with Henry Street in North Oakland, so it was changed to Abbott Street by a city ordinance in 1881.[3]
