Origin of name Finley Torrens

Torrens Street was laid out in 1865 in a plan of lots for A. J. Woolslayer.[1] It is named for Finley Torrens, who owned the land on the east side of the street.[2][3] Torrens later laid out his own plan of lots here.[4]
