type | Type, e.g., ordinance or resolution . By default "ordinance" is assumed.
|
title | Ordinance title. The title typically begins with the words "An ordinance."
municipality | The municipality that passed the ordinance. This parameter is optional; if it is omitted, the municipality is assumed to be Pittsburgh. It is useful, for example, for Allegheny City ordinances passed before its annexation in 1907. This parameter can also be called city .
| |
municipality-type | The type of the municipality (e.g., Township ). This parameter is optional; if it is omitted, the municipality is assumed to be a city. For other types of municipality, it may be best to capitalize the first letter of this parameter, to get, for example, "Reserve Township ordinance".
| |
year | The year the ordinance was passed.
number | The number of the ordinance. It seems that Pittsburgh ordinances since the 1870s have been assigned sequential numbers, starting from 1 at the beginning of each annual council session (which does not start on January 1). So actually I don't know if the combination of year and number is a unique identifier.
passed | The date the ordinance was passed by City Council (or other legislative body).
enacted | The date the ordinance was enacted. This is appropriate for an ordinance that did not go through a two-step process of being passed by City Council and approved by the mayor.
approved | The date the ordinance was approved by the mayor (or other executive officer, such as a burgess).
action1 | Some other action that was taken with respect to this ordinance. This should be a past participial phrase (e.g., veto overridden ). For an ordinance with only one other action, action can be used as a synonym.
| |
action1-date | The date of the action specified by the action1 parameter. For an ordinance with only one other action, action-date can be used as a synonym.
| |
action2 | A second action.
action2-date | ||
action3 | A third action.
action3-date | ||
action4 | A fourth action.
action4-date | ||
ordinance-book | The number of the Ordinance Book or Resolution Book that contains the ordinance or resolution. (This will produce "Resolution Book" if the type parameter is set to resolution .)
| |
page | The page in the Ordinance Book or Resolution Book where this ordinance is located.
in | A citation for a Municipal Record (or other such official source) containing the ordinance, ideally with a page number or range. For example, municipal-record-1909-1910@appendix:312–328 . Multiple citations can be specified, separated by spaces.
| |
url | A URL for the ordinance or resolution. Pittsburgh ordinances and resolutions since 2000 are online at https://pittsburgh.legistar.com/Legislation.aspx.
note | A note to be appended to the end of the citation. This is most commonly a {{reprinted}} template giving newspaper citations where the ordinance was reprinted.
source-name | The page name of this source (in the "Source" namespace). This is used to provide a link to the source page. |
