Syrian Way

From Pittsburgh Streets
Syrian Way
Neighborhood Arlington

Syrian Way was laid out in 1903 in Conrad Dippel's plan of Arlington Place.[1]

St. Clair Borough, including Davis Street, was annexed by Pittsburgh in 1923.[2] Later that year, a Pittsburgh city ordinance renaming many streets in the former borough supposedly changed the name of "Syrian alley" to Syrian Way,[3] but this was unnecessary, as the alley had been Syrian Way since the beginning.
