TIGHNABRUAICH AND GLEN CALADH REGATTA.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 24TH, 1867.
EXTENDED PROGRAMME.

The following Prizes, offered by G. R. Stephenson, Esq., Glen Caladh (Calve), will be Competed for at Tighnabruaich on the above mentioned date:—

1. Sailing Match—To start at 9.15 a. m. For Fishing Boats not exceeding 26 feet keel. Time allowance, one minute per foot. 1st Prize, £25; 2d Prize, £10; 3d Prize, £5.

2. Sailing Match—To start at 9.30 a. m. For Fishing Boats not exceeding 22 feet keel. Time allowance, one minute per foot. 1st Prize, £25; 2d Prize, £10; 3d Prize, £5.

3. Sailing Match—To start at 10 a. m. For Lug-sail Boats, not exceeding 18 feet keel. Time allowance, half-minute per foot. 1st Prize, £5; 2d Prize, £3; 3d Prize, £1.

4. Rowing Match—For Four-oared Skiffs, engaged in the Herring Fisheries, not exceeding 20 feet keel, and which have been numbered and registered at least one month previous to the day of race. To be rowed only by Fishermen. 1st Prize, £3; 2d Prize, £2; 3d Prize, £1.

5. Rowing Match—For Two-oared Boats not exceeding 14 feet keel, and not less than 4 ft. 6 in. beam. To be rowed only by men engaged in the Herring Fisheries. 1st Prize, £1, 10s.; 2d Prize, £1; 3d Prize, 10s.

6. Sculling Match—In Boats not exceeding 12 feet keel. 1st Prize, £1; wd Prize, 10s.; 3d Prize, 5s.

7. Dingy Race—In Boats not exceeding 12 feet keel. To be rowed by one man with a pair of oars. 1st Prize, £1; 2d Prize, 10s.; 3d Prize, 5s.

8. Rowing Match—For Four-oared Boats. To be rowed by workmen engaged on the Glen Caladh Estate. 1st Prize, £3; 2d Prize, £2; 3d Prize, £1.

9. Rowing Match—For Four-oared Boats. To be rowed by workmen engaged on the Glen Caladh Estate. 1st Prize, £3; 2d Prize, £2; 3d Prize, £1. N. B.—Winners in the previous Workmen's Match will not be allowed to compete in this.

10. Rowing Match—For Four-oared Galleys, not exceeding 28 feet keel, and not less than 3 ft. 6 in. beam. 1st Prize, £7; 2d Prize, £3.

11. Duck Hunt—The Duck to be chased by Four Men in a boat not less than 18 feet keel, without a rudder. The Duck to have five minutes start, and to be caught within 20 minutes. Prize—Winner, £1; Loser, 5s.

N. B.—The Rowing Matches will commence at 12 o'clock, and take place in the order of a Programme which will be published on the morning of the Regatta.

The Sports on Shore, for Prizes amounting to £10, will commence at 6 o,clock p. m., and will consist of—200 yards Race; Putting the Stone (heavy and light); Wheelbarrow Race, blindfold; Throwing the Hammer; Sack Race; Do. for Boys; Climbing a Greasy Pole for Legs of Mutton; Three-Legged Race, 150 yards; Tossing the Caber; Race on Hands and Feet; Highland Dances; Catching a Pig with a Greasy Tail.

Dr. Mackenzie, E. Harrison, Esq., and Mr. Parker have kindly consented to act as a Committee of Management for the Sports. Entries must be made to Mr Parker, Tighnabruaich Hotel, the day before the Regatta. Mr. James Macarthur will assist as judge of the Highland Dancing.

A Display of Fireworks, about 9 o'clock, will conclude the proceedings.

Entries for the Regatta must be made in writing to Captain Corke, Yacht "Northumbria," Post Office, Tighnabruaich, Kyles of Bute, not later than Wednesday, August 21st, 1867; and in entering any boat, her name, length of keel (and beam if necessary), port, and owner's name must be given, and the race or races she is to be entered for clearly specified according to this Programme.

The Third Prize will not be given unless at least five boats enter and start.

N. B.—All Prizes are open to Boats hailing from any Port.
