Street Puzzle In Westwood

Not even the cabbies can find addresses on what used to be Shady Boulevard before Westwood became the Twenty-eighth Ward, City Council was informed today.

For instance, 1317 Highman Street is a block from 1316 and 1318 Highman Street, residents complained in a petition asking a change of name.

The street, they said, has been divided and called Denisonview Street, Shadyhill Road and Highman Street. What is worse, Shadyhill and Highman have branches with the same names.

They asked that the street be named Shadyhill Road—period.
