1. SEPARATE AND SEALED PROPOSALS for the following will be received at the office of the City Controller, City County Building, until 10:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time, September 30, 1949, and will be publicly opened and read one hour later in Room 440 City County Building.
GRADING, PAVING & CURBING
Maple Avenue, from a pt. approximately 85′ N. of Legion Street to Hawkins Avenue.
Leolyn Street, from South Way to a point 34.5′ N. of Meredith St.
Stanton Courts N. (Widened Area), from Stanton Courts E. to Stanton Courts W.
REPAVING
Intersections of 45th St., 46th St., and Home St. at Plummer St.
RESURFACING
So. 12th St. Bridge over the P. R. R.
CONCRETE STEPS
Construction of Concrete Steps and appurtenances thereto at the following locations:
Fifty-third St., from Duncan St. to Holmes Street; Martha Street, from El Paso St. to Morningside Avenue; Fifty-seventh St., from Camelia St. to Christopher St., and on an Unnamed Way, Elba Street and Morgan St., to Center Ave. Contract No. 41.
Staab Way, from Bly St. to 350′ S. W.; Sigma Way, from Delaware St. to Watson Blvd.; Doak Way, from Dornestic St. to Grant Ave. and on an Unnamed Way, from Brahm St. to Royal St. Contract No. 42.
INSURANCE
Fire Insurance Coverage on Buildings owned by the City of Pittsburgh and under the supervision of the Department of Public Works, for a term of three years.
2. All bids must be made upon the prepared form of Proposal, to be obtained at the Contract Office, Room 430 City County Building, on and after September 21, 1949.
3. Bids, excepting those tendered for Fire Insurance, must be accompanied by a bond in the amount of 50 per cent of the estimated cost of the project under consideration. Said bond shall be duly and legally executed with a surety or trust company which has complied with the City Ordinances relating thereto.
4. Copies of Specifications for Fire Insurance Coverage may be obtained at Room 430 City County Building. Copies of Contract Plans and Specifications for other projects may be obtained at Room 440 City County Building. Charges in the following amounts will be made for each set of plans and supplemental specifications:

Checks covering said charges shall be made payable to Treasurer, City of Pittsburgh.
5. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
