AN ORDINANCE — Establishing the opening grades on DILLER PLACE, SCORER STREET, BARBERRY STREET, BEECHLAND STREET and GLENHURST ROAD, as laid out and proposed to be dedicated as legally opened highways by Roosevelt Acres, Inc., in a plan of lots of its property in the Thirty-first ward of the City of Pittsburgh, named "ROOSEVELT ACRES PLAN OF LOTS NO. 2."

Section 1. Be it ordained and enacted by the City of Pittsburgh, in Council assembled, and it is hereby ordained and enacted by the authority of the same, That upon the approval of ROOSEVELT ACRES PLAN OF LOTS NO. 2, proposed to be laid out by Roosevelt Acres, Inc., the grades to which DILLER PLACE, SCORER STREET, BARBERRY STREET, BEECHLAND STREET and GLENHURST ROAD, as shown thereon shall be accepted as legally opened highways, shall be as hereinafter set forth:

DILLER PLACE

The grade of the northerly line shall begin at the center line of Scorer street, at an elevation of 1197.98 feet; thence level for a distance of 10.0 feet to a point of curve; thence by a concave parabolic curve for a distance of 20.0 feet to a point of tangent, to an elevation of 1199.78 feet; thence shall rise at the rate of 18.0% for a distance of 148.4 feet to a point of curve, to an elevation of 1226.49 feet; thence by a convex parabolic curve for a distance of 360.0 feet to a point of tangent, to an elevation of 1219.29 feet; thence shall fall at the rate of 22.0% for a distance of 96.0 feet to a point of curve, to an elevation of 1198.17 feet; thence by a concave parabolic curve for a distance of 100.0 feet to a point of tangent, to an elevation of 1179.67 feet; thence shall fall at the rate of 15.0% for a distance of 34.55 feet to the center line of Barberry street, to an elevation of 1174.49 feet.

SCORER STREET

The grade of the center line shall begin at the northerly line of Diller Place, at an elevation of 1197.98 feet; thence shall fall by a convex parabolic curve for a distance of 60.0 feet to a point of tangent, to an elevation of 1195.28 feet; thence shall fall at the rate of 9.0% for a distance of 51.94 feet to a point of curve, to an elevation of 1190.61 feet; thence by a concave parabolic curve for a distance of 40.0 feet to a point of tangent, to an elevation of 1188.81 feet; thence level for a distance of 10.0 feet to the center line of Barberry street.

BARBERRY STREET

The grade of the center line shall begin at a point perpendicularly opposite the intersection of the easterly line of the plan and the northerly line of Barberry street, at an elevation 1173.09 feet; thence shall rise at the rate of 14.0% for a distance of 100.0 feet to a point of curve, to an elevation of 1187.09 feet; thence by a convex parabolic curve for a distance of 200.0 feet to a point of tangent, to an elevation of 1200.09 feet; thence shall fall at the rate of 1.0% for a distance of 357.0 feet to a point of curve, to an elevation of 1196.52 feet; thence by a convex parabolic curve for a distance of 200.0 feet to a point of tangent, to an elevation of 1192.52 feet; thence shall fall at the rate of 3.0% for a distance of 384.48 feet to the westerly terminus, to an elevation of 1180.99 feet.

BEECHLAND STREET

The grade of the center line shall begin on the center line of Barberry street, at a point perpendicularly opposite the point of curve 26.17 feet west of the dividing line between Lots Nos. 53 and 54, at an elevation of 1199.3 feet; thence shall fall at the rate of 1.0% for a distance of 36.84 feet to a point of curve, to an elevation of 1198.93 feet; thence by a convex parabolic curve for a distance of 120.0 feet to a point of tangent, to an elevation of 1189.93 feet; thence shall fall at the rate of 14.0% for a distance of 116.26 feet to a point of curve, to an elevation of 1173.65 feet; thence by a concave parabolic curve for a distance of 40.0 feet to a point of tangent, to an elevation of 1168.85 feet; thence shall fall at the rate of 10.0% for a distance of 40.0 feet to a point of curve, to an elevation of 1164.85 feet; thence by a convex parabolic curve for a distance of 40.0 feet to a point of tangent, to an elevation of 1160.05 feet; thence shall fall at the rate of 14.0% for a distance of 100.0 feet to a point of curve, to an elevation of 1146.05 feet; thence by a concave parabolic curve for a distance of 100.0 feet to a point of tangent, to an elevation of 1140.55 feet; thence shall rise at the rate of 3.0% for a distance of 57.62 feet to the easterly line of the plan, to an elevation of 1142.28 feet.

GLENHURST ROAD

The grade of the center line shall begin at the center line of Beechland street, at an elevation of 1166.85 feet; thence level for a distance of 20.0 feet to a point of curve at the westerly line of Beechland street; thence shall fall by a convex parabolic curve for a distance of 20.0 feet to a point of tangent, to an elevation of 1166.05 feet; thence shall fall at the rate of 8.0% for a distance of 100.0 feet to the westerly terminus, to an elevation of 1158.05 feet.

Section 2. That any Ordinance or part of Ordinance, conflicting with the provisions of this Ordinance, be and the same is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Ordinance.
