AN ORDINANCE—Authorizing the construction of a sewer on Sixty-second street, and on the road leading from Butler street to the Sharpsburg bridge, and through or over private properties of James McLain et al., from O'Brien street to the Allegheny river, with a branch sewer on Butler street, from the change of grade west of Sixty-second street to Sixty-second street.

Section 1. Be it ordained and enacted by the City of Pittsburgh, in Select and Common Councils assembled, and it is hereby ordained and enacted by the authority of the same, That the Department of Public Works be and is hereby authorized and directed to advertise, in accordance with the Acts of Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the Ordinances of the said City of Pittsburgh relating thereto and regulating the same, for proposals for the construction of a sewer on Sixty-second street and on the road leading from Butler street to the Sharpsburg bridge and through, over or in front of private properties of James McLain, C. Droyer, P. J. Meyer and H. L. Davis, from O'Brien street to the Allegheny river, commencing at O'Brien street; thence along Sixty-second street, in front of, over or through property of James McLain to Sawyer street, said sewer between said points to be pipe, 24 inches in diameter; thence along Sixty-second street in front of, over or through private properties of C. Droyer and P. J. Meyer to Butler street; thence along the road leading from Butler street to the Sharpsburg bridge, and through, or over private property of H. L. Davis and Allegheny Valley Railroad to the Allegheny river, said sewer between said last mentioned points to be brick and stone, and equal to 3 feet in diameter, with a branch sewer 18 inches in diameter on Butler street, commencing at the change of grade west of Sixty-second street; thence eastwardly along Butler street to a connection with the sewer crossing Butler street at Sixty-second street, said sewer to be built in accordance with a plan hereto attached, the contract therefor to be let in the manner directed by the said Acts of Assembly and Ordinances.

The cost and expense of the same to be assessed and collected in accordance with the provisions of the Acts of Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania relating thereto and regulating the same.

Section 2. That any Ordinance or part of Ordinance conflicting with the provisions of this Ordinance, be and the same is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Ordinance.
