AN ORDINANCE—Opening Grandview avenue.
Whereas, By an ordinance of the City of Pittsburgh, ordained and enacted on the 27th day of October, 1873, located Grandview avenue from the Washington road to Fulton street at a uniform width of 50 feet substantially upon the location of High street as originally opened and used; therefore,
Section 1. Be it ordained and enacted by the City of Pittsburgh, in Select and Common Councils assembled, and it is hereby ordained and enacted by the authority of the same, That the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized and directed within sixty (60) days after the passage of this Ordinance, to open Grandview avenue from Washington street, 32d ward, to Sherman street, 35th ward, in accordance with the plan approved October 27th, 1873, and as located by Ordinance of same date. Said Grandview avenue being said High street is [sic] actually opened and used, widened, extended and relocated. The damages caused thereby and the benefits to pay the same to be assessed and collected in accordance with the provisions of an Act of Assembly entitled "An Act concerning streets and sewers in the city of Pittsburgh," approved January 6th, 1864, and the several supplements thereto.
Sec. 2. That any Ordinance or part of Ordinance conflicting with the provisions of this Ordinance, be and the same is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Ordinance.
Ordained and enacted into a law in Councils, this 11th day of May, A. D. 1874.
