AN ORDINANCE—Authorizing the opening of 53d street, from Butler street to the Allegheny River.
Whereas, It appears that a majority in interest have petitioned for the opening of 53d street, therefore,
Section 1. Be it ordained and enacted by the City of Pittsburgh, in Select and Common Councils assembled, and it is hereby ordained and enacted by authority of the same, That the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to survey and open 53d street, from Butler street to the Allegheny River, and to appraise damages and assess benefits John H. Scott, James T. McClure and Wm. King are hereby appointed in accordance with an act concerning streets, approved January 6th, 1864.
Sec. 2. That any ordinance or part of ordinance conflicting with the passage of this ordinance at the present time, be and the same is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this ordinance.
Ordained and enacted into a law in Councils this 27th day of February, A. D. 1871.
