An ordinance changing the name of Irwin ave., between Columbus ave. and Marshall ave., to Palisade Lane was introduced in City Council yesterday.
Council also received recommendations from the City Planning Commission to name the following thoroughfares in the Thirty-first ward, formerly Hays borough:
Between Lots 20 and 28, from Hill st. to an unnamed way, to be called Moline way.
Between Terrace and Fourth sts., from Terrace st. to Frederkeil st., to be called Note way.
Between Lots 29 and 28, from Wheeling st. to Terrace st., to be called Rye way.
Between First and Seconds [sic] sts., from Gas to Frederkeil sts., to be called Sulphur way.
Between Second and Third sts., from Gas to Frederkeil, to be called Tinton way.
Between Gas and First sts., from Gas to Short sts., to be called Torch way.
Between Third and Fourth sts., from Center to Frederkeil sts., to be called Zipp way.
Names were also recommended for two thoroughfares in the Mifflin and Baldwin township plan of lots, as follows:
Between Lots 43 and 44, from Carter st. to Railroad alley, to be called Corley st.
Between Carter st. and Baldwin ave., from Baldwin ave. to Baldwin ave., to be called Roadside way.
