Pittsburgh council today will give a public hearing on the proposal of the city, on recommendation of the city planning commission, to change the names of 135 highways in Carrick district and 18 in Knoxville, to avoid duplication. Ordinances to make the changes are pending. The new names proposed follow:
Carrick district — Abbott way changed to Hopeland way, Acoma st. to Acosta st., Acoma way to Acosta way, Agnew ave. to East Agnew ave., Alma way to Alcove way, Almont st. to Altaview st., Aurora st. to Alphaus st., Avon way to Askal way.
