FOOD SHOPPERS' PARK
ON OLD BANK SITE—A new parking lot, of 19,000 square feet and with entrances on Fourth avenue, Diamond street and Diamond square, formerly the location of the old Merchants Bank, has been opened by Donahoe's. Five buildings were razed to make way for this new parking lot, which is opposite the Donahoe store. The parking lot also formerly was the site of the Diamond Light and Power building and "Chicken alley." The work was supervised by Paul R. Northart, superintendent of construction and maintenance for Donahoe's.
