Mrs. Maria Ebdy Dead at 89
Mrs. Maria L. Ebdy, a charter member of the Mary S. Brown Memorial Methodist Church, Beechwood Boulevard, who turned the first shovelful of earth at the exercises marking the start of its construction, died yesterday.
Mrs. Ebdy was born in the Sixth Ward, October 16, 1950 [sic], and spent her life in Pittsburgh. She was the widow of Charles T. Ebdy and leaves a son, John J. Ebdy, a daughter, Mrs. Lottie E. English; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the family home, 6320 Monitor Street, Monday afternoon with interment in Smithfield Cemetery.
