This street appears as Short Street in the 1890 Hopkins atlas,[1] certainly an appropriate name. It was renamed to Sedan Street in 1896[2] and then to Bizet Street in 1925.[3]
Bob Regan includes "Bizet" in a list of streets named for noted historical people;[4] the implied eponym seems to be Georges Bizet (1838–1875), French composer.
