Parker Street (until 1910)

The eastern half of this street was laid out in 1871 in a plan of lots for M. O'Hara, though that plan did not give it a name: it was labeled just "Private St."[1] The western half was laid out in 1873 by Robert B. Craig, who named it Parker Street.[2] This name was officially established for the full length of the street by a Pittsburgh city ordinance in 1881.[3][4]

Parker Street was renamed Pierce Street by a city ordinance in 1910.[5]
