Ozan Way

From Pittsburgh Streets
Ozan Way
Neighborhood Homewood North
Osage Street (until 1906)
Ozan Alley (1906–1914)

This alley was laid out as Osage Street in 1901 in the Blackadore Place plan of lots.[1] The southern part of the street was in Sterrett Township, which was annexed by Pittsburgh in 1906.[2] Later that year, a Pittsburgh city ordinance changed many street names in the newly annexed district to fix duplicates. There was already an Osage Lane in Point Breeze, so Osage Street (which the ordinance called "Osage Alley") was changed to Ozan Alley.[3] It became Ozan Way in 1914, when another ordinance changed all alleys in Pittsburgh to ways.[4]
