Source:Miller-chronicles, p. 109: "Thomas Aiken's brother, David, about 1840, built a house on a plot of 160 acres which fronted on the Seventh Street Plank Road, now Center Avenue. His wife was Mary Noble, whose family name is perpetuated by a short street extending from Aiken Avenue to the railroad line."
