Source:Ewalt-plan-1859 labels it "Long alley." The letters are pretty tiny—was it labeled afterward?
Source:Ordinance-1925-175: "Long way, from Eden way, to Valley street, changed to Locarna way, 9th Ward."
"Locarna" doesn't seem to be the name of anything. There are apparently no occurrences of "Locarna" in Pittsburgh newspapers before the 1925 ordinance.
Maybe it is an error for or modification of Locarno?
