Source:Fleming-abandoned: "One of the 'Hill' streets was renamed Hancock—lying on the side of Herron Hill in the old Thirteenth Ward. There was another Hill street in this ward running from Addison to Kirkpatrick street. Two streets of the same name in a ward is certainly one more than enough. It develops that there was also a Hancock street in the old Second Ward, Allegheny, so the John of famous signature was not altogether forgotten in patroitic [sic] Pittsburgh."
