Source:Donalson: "Last year, owners of property—mostly lawyers—on Second Avenue, Downtown, between Ross and Grant streets, successfully had the street renamed Court Place. ¶ 'We have a strange situation now because that block along the Public Safety Building separated by the Boulevard of the Allies from what is now Court Place is also Second Avenue. ¶ 'But the police said they want their side to remain Second Avenue. So we have the same street with two different names,' [supervisor of the survey division in the city Engineering and Construction Department Manuel Jose] Serpa said."
