Source:Grata-hitch (1973-02-23): "A bill recently was introduced in the State House of Representatives to change Banksville Road to Fulton Boulevard in memory of the late U. S. Rep. James Fulton, R-Dormont." Objection by Harter Banks, great-grandson of Rev. Isaac Banks. "A Baptist preacher born in 1811, he made frequent trips by horse and buggy over the South Hills route and eventually established a church among the cluster of farmhouses. ¶ The people named their small community after the Rev. Mr. Banks and hence grew the name 'Banksville Road.'"
