Lyons Avenue (until 1910) |
This street was laid out as Lyons Avenue in 1901 in the University Park plan of lots.[1]
Allegheny City was annexed by Pittsburgh in 1907.[2] In 1910, over 900 streets were renamed to fix duplicates, and Lyons Avenue was changed to Lyzell Street[3] to avoid confusion with Lyon Street in the Upper Hill District.
