Charlotte Street was laid out in 1851 by the heirs of Peter Dravo[1] (eponym of Dravo Street, today 37th Street). It was named for Charlotte Dravo,[1] his widow, identified as "Mrs. Dravo" on the 1852 map of R. E. McGowin.[2]
