Bowery Alley (1881–1914)

This alley was laid out as Brown Alley in 1867 in a plan of lots for Rev. John G. Brown.[1] It was renamed Bowery Alley by a city ordinance in 1881.[2] It became Bowery Way in 1914, when another ordinance changed all alleys in Pittsburgh to ways.[3]
