Argyle Way

From Pittsburgh Streets
Argyle Way
Neighborhood Central Oakland
Argyle Alley (until 1914)

This alley was laid out in 1870 in a plan of lots by Pier and Berkowitz (see Pier Street), though that plan did not give it a name.[1] It was named Argyle Alley by a city ordinance in 1881.[2] It became Argyle Way in 1914 when another ordinance changed all alleys in the city to ways.[3]
