Neighborhood | Mount Washington |
Origin of name | Anthony Lauria |
Lauria Way is named for Anthony Lauria (1921–1944), Pittsburgh native, killed in Belgium in the Second World War. The narrow alley, running from Cuthbert Street to Guerdon Street between Virginia Avenue and Gaskel Street, was named at the request of his widow Ruth, who had bought a house on the street that her husband never saw.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
