The 1872 Hopkins atlas shows a small alley in the northeast corner of Allentown named Spring Alley, meeting the Brownsville Turnpike (today Arlington Avenue) roughly opposite Hill Street (today Hartford Street).[1] It was renamed Sweden Alley in 1881.[2] It became Sweden Way in 1914 when an ordinance changed all alleys in the city to ways.[3]
Bob Regan includes "Sweden" in a list of streets named for countries.[4]
Sweden Way does not exist today.
