This alley was first laid out from Ward Street to Atwood Street in 1871 as part of a plan of lots by Charles Meyran, which did not give the alley a name.[1] It was named Euler Alley by a Pittsburgh city ordinance in 1881.[2] It became Euler Way in 1914 when another ordinance changed all alleys in Pittsburgh to ways.[3]
