Over the course of the city's history, the name Second Street has referred to three different streets in downtown Pittsburgh:
- the original Second Street, renamed Second Avenue in 1868 (see Second Avenue);
- a street originally called Duquesne Street, renamed Second Street in 1868, again renamed First Street in 1875, and vacated in 1901 (see First Street);
- and a street originally called Stanwix Alley, replaced by Second Street in 1875, and vacated in 1901 (see Second Street).
Several other streets in Pittsburgh have also been named Second Street:
- Adelphia Street in Stanton Heights, until 1881
- Part of Cypress Street in Bloomfield, in the 1870s
- Part of Industry Street in Allentown and Beltzhoover, until 1881/1898
- South Second Street on the South Shore, until 1881
- Stanhope Street in Sheraden, from 1880 to 1908
- Suismon Street in East Allegheny, until 1910
- Susquehanna Street in Homewood South, until 1881
